Nice looking van! Wow, what size are those tires? And what suspension mods does the van have? Almost looks like it would need different gearing with those tires.

I don’t know what tires they are. He had 215/75 15 before. And I’m afraid I’ve forgotten if he has any other lifting mods to suspension.
He has a 1.9 turbo diesel in there. No tranny work. I can imagine gearing takes a hit with the big tires. I’ll ask him about all this.
Cheers

Thanks! Tires are 205/80/r16. Rims are off of a factory syncro 16, so they are skinny! I like them more than 215/75/r15.
The van has Steve Schwenk’s westy lift springs, but is the weight of a weekender, so maximum lift is achieved. 20.5 inches hub to fender with a set of spacers in the rear.
The van was converted from gas to a tdi, trans geared accordingly, but that engine blew up. It has an aaz in it for now! I like the mechanical injection, thinking about keeping and beefing the aaz.
Gearing is ok, I can almost do the malahat in 4th gear. I should figure it all out as I know it has been changed but I do not know the numbers!

Thanks Nathan,
I had completely forgot about the Schwenk springs.
Yeah how do those tires feel?
Cheers
