Doing some errands and saw this beauty parked at Owen’s garage in Sidney. I had no room to get proper shots, but oh my, isn’t it a lovely thing? Sex on wheels. It’s in my dream garage beside my DS21, 246 Dino, and ย of course, the syncro ๐
Later that afternoon I came up behind another one close to my home.
Oh, forgot about another fantasy garage member, this Unimog with the hydraulic firewood splitter up front.

good choises ! Unimog … any time !!
in the late 90`ies i owned a small part of a Dino. it was a Lancia Thema 8.32. the sound was unbelievable, when i opened the hood the people couldn`t believe what they saw. are you familiar with that car in Canada? after a year i sold it again. too much power for a frontwheel drive. a Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 would have been the better choice.

Hi Peter,
No, I don’t think the thema was sold here. Mind you I’m always surprised at what I see driving around here in the summer time. Seems that there are quite a few treasures in people’s garages.
There is a strong UK vintage car component. Unsurprising considering the history of the place. But also Owen’s garage an inevitable magnet for repairs ๐
Even see unimogs once in a while. There were a pair of 402 ( maybe 401) for sale some years ago that I wished I had the money to buy. Late model mogs appear once in a while. Rare but still seen.
Cheers
