Yes, the difference between the metal lamp posts and the wooden electricity poles is interesting! Of course in our country, South Africa, any wiring up for grabs on poles like that are long stolen!

Oh John, you shame me. I wasn’t thinking that subtle. It’s the big trailer camper behind the syncro that i was alluding to.
How you doing? It’s coming on autumn for you, spring here on the north west coast is being especially cold and damp this year.
Cheers

All good this side of the ocean, politically not so sure! But then that’s Africa, oh no wait, the whole world is a bit funny right now!
Couldn’t resist the telephone pole thing!
My Syncro being resprayed at long last. Last major thing to be done after engine conversion and rest of rebuild over last few years. I’m very excited, can’t wait to get it back!

Same colour John? Or going for something different …

Same colour, white. I would love to have gone some Jeep/Subaru khaki green or something, but not that clever in our side of the world to have vehicles that look too military. Tends to get already greedy, AK47 wielding “officials” and “police” even more excited and obnoxious.
Also gets a whole lot more costly and fidgety to change colour totally as you know. All the inside iffy bits to be done. So staying with good ole’ white!

I get the hankering for olive drab, and even the NATO snow camo. Then again I like bright colours such as orange and a nice light green.
My paint is bronze copper ( can’t recall the vw number) and being slightly metallic makes respray more difficult. So I’m not 100 percent against a different outside colour.
And I wish for a paint that is easily fixed. I don’t wish for much do I? 🙂
Cheers
