Thanks Jarrett. Our other dog, Jake, is a bit lost now. They had been together for pretty well all of their lives. So instead of leaving him home, I’m taking him to work and walking him at lunch and after work. So one benefit for me is more exercise 🙂

      Cheers

      Hi Peter,

Thanks for your kind thoughts. Lily was a big part of our family’s life. It hurts more as not only was she a great dog but she, in a way, represented a time for us that can never be re-lived.

      Cheers

    Hi Alistair,

Sorry to hear about the passing of Lily. I can’t remember if it was Lily or Jake who bit into that pressurized rotten duck egg when Sabine and I were visiting your place last September. Either way, now that we have our Dog, Barkley, we are much more appreciative of other people’s dogs and their relationships with them.

      Hi Trevor,

Thanks for the thoughts. Hey, what kind of dog is Barkley? Does he live up to his name? 🙂

Yup it was Lily who found the rotten duck egg. She was pretty good at finding eggs, most of the time they weren’t land mines.

      Cheers
